Embracing My Story: From Small Town to Corporate Event Planner

When I first moved out of India in my early 20s, I experienced a time of questioning and uncertainty. My story felt fragmented—torn between two worlds, unsure how to reconcile my past with who I thought I needed to become. One day, I came across a book titled Your Story is Your Power. The title alone hit me with clarity, helping me understand that every part of my story mattered, even the ones I once wished away.

Growing up in a small town shaped who I am today, and it influences how I approach my work as a corporate event planner in Berlin. From my mother, I learned kindness and generosity. My father instilled in me a deep sense of hard work and persistence. My grandmother taught me faith, and my grandfather, who spoke English fluently, showed me the beauty of expression and the importance of high morals. These early lessons have been a foundation for how I connect with clients and design events that resonate with diverse audiences.

As a child, I was naturally drawn to hosting, teaching, and connecting with people—skills I now use in corporate event planning in Berlin. My curiosity expanded into a love for exploring different cultures. Today, this global perspective, coupled with my professional experience, allows me to create meaningful events that cater to international teams and multicultural workplaces—a crucial aspect for businesses in Berlin, where diversity is celebrated.

Having lived in Seoul, Paris, and Copenhagen, I’ve learned to embrace the influences from each place. Paris and Copenhagen feel especially like home, and both cities contribute to the values I bring into my work as a corporate event planner. In Berlin, I apply these experiences to create event spaces where people feel connected, appreciated, and inspired—whether it’s a corporate gala, a team-building retreat, or a year-end celebration.

As a corporate event planner in Berlin, I focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere, always striving to be generous in my work, whether it’s through personal touches, attention to detail, or simply ensuring that the event runs smoothly from start to finish. My love for cultures—whether it’s French cuisine, Korean skincare, or Punjabi music—finds its way into the themes and elements I incorporate into my events, making each one unique and memorable.

I continue to grow and learn as I strive to become a better version of myself. My story, filled with twists and turns, has shaped my approach to corporate event planning. I carry that story with pride, using it to create spaces where people can come together, connect, and celebrate. And in the bustling, vibrant city of Berlin, I continue adding new chapters to that story, finding joy in helping others create meaningful experiences of their own.
