We Organised an Underwater Themed Corporate Party in Berlin

Earlier this February, we at Kitty Party had the opportunity to organize our very first theme-based event for a tech company in Berlin. It was a two-day Hackathon event designed to encourage innovative ideas and creativity. The company wanted to make the event fun and engaging for all the participants, so they decided to organize an underwater-themed party to promote team building and collaboration.

The company required everything from the decorations to the games to be in line with their theme. It was very interesting to work on this project as it was our first time doing a theme-based event. The venue was the company’s office space. Our first step was to secure our services, and our team quickly got to work finding one of the best caterers, dessert makers, bartenders, and an amazing event decorator all within a short span of time.

Our next step was to plan out and coordinate everything with our providers and the company team. We arrived at the venue and decorated the space with all kinds of underwater-themed decorations. The ceiling was made to look like the ocean floor, and the literal floor was decorated to look like water. To say that it was mesmerizing would be an understatement, and everyone was captivated by the decor.

The company also wanted us to help them arrange for a photo booth with really funky-looking underwater props, which they had a lot of fun with, striking silly poses. It was a great stress buster for them after a 24-hour strenuous hackathon, slouching in front of their screens and tiring themselves out. We always look to hire a photographer who respects privacy concerns and meets the needs of a particular event from the vast pool of photographers available in Berlin. The hired photographer was a pleasure to work with, and the team adored the photo booth's aesthetic photos.

For the food and drinks, the company was considerate about the dietary requirements of their attendees and wanted to provide vegan food options and non-alcoholic drink options. We worked with an amazing caterer who took our underwater theme request into deep consideration and came up with a very innovative spread of dishes with both vegan and non-vegan options. The bartender we worked with was also one of the best and created amazing cocktails and mocktails all throughout the event.

They also arranged for many themed games and had a mini indoor pool where the participants could play a fun game of fishing, paint their own treasure chests, and enjoy a fun little piñata to break and get treats from. The company also wanted us to help them arrange for an Oculus to provide a more immersive entertainment experience to keep the attendees engaged.

Organizing an event requires meticulous planning, creativity, and attention to detail. With careful planning and execution, we were able to create an immersive experience that was both entertaining and informative. The underwater theme party was a huge success. The employees enjoyed the party and appreciated the effort put in by the company to create a fun-filled environment. The party created a fun-filled and engaging environment for the employees.

It was our first theme-based event, but it definitely won’t be the last! It was such a hit that we're already looking forward to planning the next one!
