When we Hosted Nine Events in a Day for "HPE Team Membership Appreciation Day"
This week was pretty special at Kitty Party as we got to host HPE for their Team Member Appreciation Day. I teamed up with Airbnb and HPE a month ahead to organize the day for their global teams spread over three different time zones. From 4:30 AM to 11 PM, I hosted nine events, and I couldn't have been more thrilled with the enthusiasm and happiness that everyone exuded.
Although I have hosted numerous events for thousands of people before, this was my first time doing nine events in a row, and I was amazed at how excited and engaged everyone was. What a positive and vibrant ambience it was with the HPE teams! The “Team Member Appreciation Day” was a novel experience for the HPE team members as well, as they were attending several different experiences throughout the day. They were enthusiastic and happy throughout the day, and their positive feedback made us feel proud of our efforts. The members' found their beginning and end messages extremely heart-warming even though I was just reading them aloud. HPE really knows how to make their team members feel valued and appreciated!
I was pleasantly surprised by how hundreds of people joined us and many people turned on their cameras, and seeing all those smiles and joy radiating from them felt like we were working in the same kitchen. We discussed spices and the art of cooking, and danced together on upbeat Bollywood Music - "Dancing Chef" is now a popular name at HPE.
The Butter Masala was enjoyed by everyone who cooked along, with some participants making vegan, non-vegan, or nut-free versions. Everyone was included, and it was great how everyone could enjoy the same recipe according to their preferences. At Kitty Party, we have an extensive menu of drinks, curries and desserts and yet the love for Butter Masala remains unparalleled.
Despite the virtual setting, the event was very interactive. Some participants were making lunch with us, and some were making their dinner, depending on their time zones. Everyone was enthusiastic, cooking, dancing, smiling, and laughing together. Some even had their children join in on the fun. The event was not just about cooking; participants were able to learn about my herb garden and see a scenic view of Berlin, which was a highlight for many. In fact, we even spent an extra 15 minutes talking about the herb garden during one of the events because everyone was so inquisitive and had so many intriguing questions!
